Send us the story you've never said out loud.
My Lesbian Secret is built on the things queer women carry quietly. If you have a first kiss, a slow-burn realization, a heartbreak that changed you, or a moment of joy you want to set down on paper — this is where it begins. We read every submission with care.
Tell us your story.
Fill out the form at your own pace. You can save and return. You can write under a pseudonym, or anonymously. You can withdraw at any time, no questions asked.
Your privacy is the whole point.
Everything you share with us is held in confidence. You decide what gets published, under what name, and when. Here's what that looks like in practice.
End-to-end private
Submissions are read only by our two editors, on encrypted devices. We don't share drafts with anyone — not partners, not sponsors, not for market research. Ever.
You choose your name
Publish under your real name, a pseudonym, a single initial, or "Anonymous." We don't require ID, ever. What you sign your story with is your decision, full stop.
Withdraw anytime
Changed your mind after sending? Email us and your submission is deleted within 24 hours. If it's already published, we'll take it down the same day — no pushback.
Collaborative editing
Nothing publishes without your sign-off. If we suggest edits, you see every change, and you have final say. We are not the authors of your story — we are the people who help you tell it well.
No third-party tracking
Our form doesn't use marketing pixels, retargeting scripts, or analytics that follow you around the web. What you write here stays here.
Slow, human responses
We reply to every submission within 14 days. Not a bot, not a template — a real person, usually one of the two of us, reading what you sent.
The things people ask before sending.
Can I submit anonymously?
Yes. In the form, just write "Anonymous" in the name field and leave the email blank — or use a fresh email you create for this. We'll only contact you if you give us a way to reach you, and we publish with whatever byline you choose.
What if my story involves someone who isn't out?
Please fictionalize the identifying details — change their name, profession, the city, anything specific. We can help you with this during editing. The point of the site is safety, not exposure.
Do you pay contributors?
Right now we're a small, reader-supported project and we don't pay for pieces. We credit you fully, link to wherever you want, and we're transparent about that. If we ever move to a paid model, prior contributors will be the first to know.
Can I submit something that already exists on my blog or social media?
Yes, as long as you hold the rights. Just let us know it's been published elsewhere and where. We'll either link back to the original or republish with permission — your call.
What if I'm not a writer?
Send us a voice memo, a transcript, or a thread of notes and we'll help shape it with you. Many of our pieces started as someone saying "I don't know how to write this, but here's what happened."
How long until I hear back?
Within 14 days, almost always. If you haven't heard from us by then, check spam and reply to our original acknowledgment — sometimes messages get lost in the noise.
Sit with it. Read a few first.
If today isn't the day you send something, that's fine. Read some of the stories already published — sometimes hearing another woman's voice is what unlocks your own. Come back when it feels right.
