What is the difference between epoxy solar panels and laminated solar panels?
There are two ways to package solar panels, one is epoxy solar panel (epoxy resin package), the other is laminated solar panel (glass/PET/ETFE package), so what is the difference between them?
Production Process
Epoxy solar panel: (1) Stir two different glues in proportion. (2) Put the adjusted glue into the glue dispensing equipment, and then drop it onto the surface of the cell. (3) After the dripping is completed, vacuumize. (4) Vacuuming is completed, baking is carried out, and the epoxy resin glue on the surface is cured. (5) Remove excess glue.
Laminated solar panels: (1) The surface is encapsulated with glass or PET or ETFE prepared in advance. (2) Laminate glass/PET/ETFE/+EVA+battery sheet+EVA+back material once. (3) After the lamination is completed, put it into a laminator for lamination (temperature and time should be within the specified range to prevent delamination) (4) After lamination, remove excess glue.

service life
The service life of the epoxy solar panel is 2-3 years. The transparent epoxy on the surface will change over time and slowly turn yellow, which will further affect the service life of the solar panel.
The service life of laminated solar panels is determined by its surface material. The service life of PET solar panels is 3-5 years, the service life of ETFE solar panels is about 5-10 years, and the service life of glass solar panels is about 25 years. The lifespan is much higher than that of epoxy solar panels.
